Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)

Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a core service offering at Senior Family Home. We recognize that many seniors may require assistance with one or more ADLs in order to maintain their quality of life and independence. Our professional and compassionate caregivers provide personalized care plans to support residents with their ADL needs, ensuring that they can continue to enjoy the comforts of home and remain as independent as possible.

Our ADL services include assistance with:

  • Bathing and showering: Our caregivers can assist with all aspects of bathing and showering, from ensuring that the water temperature is safe and comfortable to providing physical assistance with getting in and out of the tub or shower.

  • Dressing and grooming: We can help residents get dressed in the morning, including choosing outfits and fastening buttons or zippers. We can also assist with hair brushing, shaving, and other grooming tasks.

  • Toileting and incontinence care: Our caregivers are trained to provide sensitive and discreet assistance with toileting and incontinence care, including changing adult diapers and providing hygiene support.

  • Eating and drinking: We offer meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding, ensuring that residents receive the proper nutrition and hydration they need to stay healthy.

  • Mobility and transfer assistance: Our caregivers can assist residents with transferring in and out of bed, chairs, or wheelchairs, and can provide mobility assistance to help residents move safely around the home.

At Senior Family Home, we strive to provide high-quality and individualized care to our residents. We work closely with each resident and their family members to develop a care plan that addresses their unique needs and preferences, including their ADL support requirements. Our goal is to help our residents live as independently and comfortably as possible, while maintaining their safety and wellbeing.
